Bored.
Dec 26th
So I’m getting more and more bored. What can I do? I suppose I can go to my original idea and start learning American history. I have a book on the founding of America. But meh.
I keep playing around with the theme and messing with the style of a forum I help run but that only takes so much time before becoming totally mundane and pointless. I want to do something that I can look back on and say, “Wow. I’m glad I did that.”

New phone
Aug 22nd
They say the iphone is great. But what is better?
Mytouch by HTC from Tmobile with Android – OS made by Google.
Google > apple.
Tmobile service < ATT (not by much)
Tmobile price < ATT
All this means iphone has a very strong competitor which is great for us consumers.

First six weeks of Nursing
Jun 19th
So the first six weeks of nursing school are over and done with. I cannot believe how much I and my classmates have learned in such a short period of time. It truly is unbelievable.
I managed to make pretty decent grades high Bs if not As (grades haven’t posted yet for my last two assignments). I feel like crap however because I slacked at the end and didn’t study quite as hard as I should have. Instead, I helped those of my classmates that were struggling and on the verge of being kicked out of the program. So even though I might not get the A’s I wanted at least I get the statisfaction of knowing that I helped others achieve something that I myself thought was difficult.
The next six weeks starts on Monday. No rest whatsoever. I will start out in the lab for three weeks learning how to do IVs and caths and then the last three weeks I will be in clinicals putting those skills to use.
I did not think that nursing school would be as stressful and yet so entertaining when I first began. It is turning out to be a wonderfully awesome experience. I have taken on the role of big brother so to speak helping everyone I can. Even the professors seem to see the efforts I make to help others. I don’t do for the recognition or for any honors. It is just how I am.
Sam continually asks me how I think of Nursing and if I want to really be a nurse. I must say that if it wasn’t for her continued loving nags about me going to nursing school over the past three or four years I wouldn’t have ever decided to go. But before I started I did realize that nursing school and becoming a nurse really does make sense. I don’t want to wipe butt, although I’ll do my dues. Instead, I plan on pursuing something more advanced. Nursing admin or infomatics are both on my list of possibilities.
Money is going to a problem in the coming months and so I have seriously begun looking at the military as a way to help out. The Navy will pay $10K plus $1K/month for a three year commitment after I graduate. If I can’t find other sources I will most liking pursue this option.
